Is it possible to use Twofold for tele-health visits?
Yes, Twofold can be utilized for tele-health visits in the following ways:
1. Keep Twofold open in a window on the same computer you are using for tele-health.
2. Keep Twofold open on your phone next to the computer you are using for tele-health.
Please note, Twofold is currently not compatible with headphones or headsets, as it requires hearing both sides of the conversation to transcribe accurately.
Do I need to record the full session?
No. You can, but you do not have to.
There are three ways to use Twofold Health for generating clinical notes:
1. Conversation
Document your patient interactions in real-time by recording the entire session. This approach captures the natural flow of dialogue.
2. Dictate Session Summary
Allows you to summarize the session afterward, speaking directly into the app to note key points and observations.
3. Text Input
Allows you to convert text-based key points or quick notes you took into clear, detailed and clinically structured notes.
All three methods provide flexibility in how you capture and generate your clinical notes.
Do I need to get my client's consent to use Twofold?
Twofold provides an example patient consent form, and we recommend using this script to obtain verbal consent from your patients:
Suggested Script: "To provide high-quality care, we use a documentation tool called Twofold during our sessions. This tool helps us accurately capture and organize details of our conversation, allowing us to focus more on you and less on paperwork. Your privacy is crucial to us, and all conversations are kept confidential and compliant with HIPAA regulations. Please feel free to ask any questions about this process."
This script helps inform patients about the use of Twofold and secures their verbal consent. It's important to ensure patients are comfortable and understand the purpose of the tool to maintain trust and confidentiality.
Can I prepare for a visit before meeting the patient/client?
Absolutely. You can start by clicking "Capture Conversation" and verbally providing information about the patient, such as their name, age, and reason for the visit. Then, you can "Pause" and enter the patient's name to preliminarily set up the visit. When you meet with the patient, you can seamlessly resume the visit.
Can I use other applications while using Twofold?
To properly capture a visit, Twofold must remain open and active on the phone app or web browser on a phone or computer. If Twofold becomes inactive, or if the screen closes or goes dark, the visit will not be captured correctly.
Can I capture a visit on my phone and then review or input it into the EHR from my computer?
Yes, visits captured on a mobile device or another computer can be accessed and reviewed from any computer. By logging in with the same credentials, you can view Twofold notes on any device.
Is Twofold HIPAA compliant?
