A dedicated hub where you can browse, create, and manage templates efficiently.

At The Main Sidebar or the Templates Dropdown on the main screen, you’ll find access to your Templates Library, where you can explore a variety of templates, as well as add, remove, edit, and create your own from scratch - all within this centralized hub.

All Templates/My Templates

On the Templates Library you can filter the view using the "All Templates"/"My Templates" filter.

  • All Templates – View and browse all available templates.

  • My Templates – Templates that you’ve added for personal use will appear here. Once added to "My Templates," the template will be available in the dropdown when selecting a note template.

Searching for Templates

Use the search bar in the Templates Library to find templates based on:

  • Template name

  • Specialty (e.g., SOAP, Progress, Primary Care, EMDR, etc.)


How To Customize a Template

To make a template fit your exact needs, you have two options:

  1. Edit an Existing Template (Recommended for simplicity)

  2. Create a Template from Scratch (Advanced option)

Option 1: Edit an Existing Template

This is the simpler way to create a custom template by modifying an existing one.

Steps to Edit a Template:

  1. Choose a template from the Templates Library.

  2. Click Edit to make changes.

  3. Modify the existing sections:

    • Section Name – Customize the title of each section.

    • Verbosity – Choose Concise or Detailed.

    • Style – Select Bullet points or Paragraph format.

    • Content Instructions – Define how the AI should generate content for that section.

  4. Save the modified template.

  5. Test the template by generating a note with it.

  6. Iterate and refine the template based on the generated results.

Once you're satisfied, save the final version, and it will be added to My Templates.

Option 2: Create a Template from Scratch

This option allows full customization and is ideal for users who want to create completely unique documentation formats.

Sharing a Template

You can share any template you’ve created with friends or colleagues:

  1. Click the Share icon on the template.

  2. A shareable link will be generated.

  3. Send the link to other Twofold users.

  4. Recipients can copy the shared template and customize it further for their use.

Note: Once a template is made public via the share link, it cannot be made private again.


Tips for Using Custom Templates Effectively

  • Keep It Simple: The more detailed your instructions, the more constraints you place on the system. Overly specific instructions can increase the risk of missing certain session details.

  • Avoid Contradictions: Be consistent with styling choices. If you select Paragraph format, avoid additional instructions asking for Bullet points.

  • Start with a System Template: If you are new to custom templates, modifying an existing template is the easiest way to create one that fits your needs.

  • Keep Personal Information Up to Date: Ensure your profile details are accurate, as this helps the system generate notes with the correct information.

  • There is no limit to the number of custom templates you can create.

  • The more sections, the shorter the text in each section.
