How to Generate Your Note

Step-by-step guide to capturing your sessions with Twofold Health.

Updated this week

There are three ways to use Twofold Health for generating clinical notes. Use the dropdown on the capture conversation button to choose the method you'd like:

1. Conversation

Document your patient interactions in real-time by recording the entire session. This approach captures the natural flow of dialogue.

2. Dictate Session Summary

Allows you to summarize the session afterward, speaking directly into the app to note key points and observations.

3. Text Input

Allows you to convert text-based key points or quick notes you took into clear, detailed and clinically structured notes.

All three methods provide flexibility in how you capture and generate your clinical notes. To start recording:

Step 1: Select the Note Template

Before starting the recording, choose the appropriate note template type from the dropdown menu. This ensures that the generated note aligns with your documentation needs.

Option 1: Conversation

Click the 'Capture Conversation' button to start recording.

  • Sound Indicator: There’s a sound indicator to let you know that Twofold can hear your audio, ensuring the recording is functioning properly.

  • Minimum Recording Time: Note that the minimum recording time is 20 seconds. This ensures that the AI has enough data to generate a comprehensive note.

Manage Your Recording

During the recording, you have full control over the session:

  • Pause: Need to take a break? Simply click pause, and you can resume the recording when ready.

  • Resume: After pausing, click resume to continue where you left off.

  • Discard: If the session didn’t go as planned, you can discard the recording entirely and start over.

  • End Session: Once the conversation is complete, click End to finalize the recording.

Option 2: Dictate Session Summary

Choose the 'Dictate Session Summary' option in the dropdown next to the blue button and click "Dictate Summary"

Generating the Note

After ending the session, Twofold Health’s AI will begin processing the recording to generate your note. This process typically takes up to 30 seconds.

You can monitor the note generation progress on the sidebar. Once the note is ready, it will appear in your session list.

Accessing the Generated Note

Once the note is generated, simply click on the session in the sidebar to view and edit the note as needed.

Adding Details

If there are additional details you want to include that weren’t covered during the session, you can pause the recording at any point to add these details before ending the session.

FAQ

Can I use my headphones with Twofold?

Since Twofold needs to capture audio from both sides of the conversation, headphones are not supported as they may limit the ability to pick up both the clinician’s and the patient’s voices clearly. For the best results, ensure your device is placed close to the conversation to effectively capture all participants.

Is there a limit on the duration of session recordings?

Currently, Twofold supports sessions up to 90 minutes in length. If your session exceeds 90 minutes, the recording will stop. We recommend stopping and restarting the recording if you anticipate a longer session to ensure you capture all critical details. We are actively working on extending the recording duration and welcome any feedback on what length would be most helpful for you.
